I have always been passionate about the manufacturing industry. Through my family’s company in the Swabian Alb, I came into contact with it early on and was able to get to know it from the ground up. I was also fascinated by IT and digitalization early on. My passion is therefore the application of digitalization in the manufacturing industry in order to leverage the great potential for one of the most important industries in Germany – especially through innovative software for metalworkers.
What am I building on? I started my academic career at RWTH Aachen University. After studying mechanical engineering, I completed my doctorate at the University of St. Gallen in the field of digitalization. I then moved to TRUMPF, where I spent the first three years as a consultant to the CEO. I then took over responsibility for digitalization in sheet metal production at the Ditzingen site and later for the new digital business models at TRUMPF. My focus was on the development of software metalworking solutions and digital ordering platforms in order to offer manufacturing companies innovative metalworking software solutions that increase their efficiency and competitiveness.
